Walkers and the Spice Girls partner for new campaign
Published on: May 28, 2019
As the long-awaited Spice Girls World Tour draws ever near, the legendary girl group will be partnering once again with Walkers Crisps for the brand’s newest campaign.
Although details of the advert are yet to be revealed, this partnership is sure to become one of the most anticipated adverts in recent years, particularly as their previous collaboration with the leading crisp brand was over 20 years ago, back in 1997, therefore it is certain to attract both a nostalgic audience as well as younger generations.
Of course, no Walkers advert would be complete without a cameo from Gary Lineker, who has enjoyed a long partnership with the brand, whilst no confirmation as to whether or not Gary will feature in the new adverts, we would suggest that it is highly likely that he will once again join the band.
Take a look at the series of Spice Girls’ classic Walkers television adverts from the 90s:
As arguably one of the most famous British groups, the Spice Girls advert reflects the brand’s marketing tactics over the past 12 months, having re-designed its iconic packaging in early 2019 to highlight the brand’s ‘Britishness’, which featured famous landmarks such as Big Ben, the Liver Building, Angel of the North and more.
Keep your eyes peeled for the new advert over the coming months.
