Class 1 Driver

The successful candidate will have:


  • A Class 1 HGV licence
  • Knowledge of UK driving regulations, including Drivers’ Hours and the Working Time Directive
  • Be able to use Tachographs (both digital and analogue)
  • A strong work ethic
  • Be physically fit
  • Have a smart and professional appearance
  • The ability to plan routes in the most time efficient and fuel-efficient way


Your main duties would include but not limited to the following:


  • Delivering goods to our clients
  • Completing daily vehicle checks and defect reports
  • Providing a high level of customer service at all times
  • Observing any applicable health and safety requirements
  • Maintaining vehicle cleanliness at all times
  • Any other duties as instructed by the Transport Manager

This job will require nights and weekend work

Export

 

Role Overview

This is a hands-on role for an Export Sales Executive that has a track record in developing new business with retailers, distributors, discounters and supermarkets. You will have full autonomy and control of export sales in your area, defining strategic market penetration into new territories and markets worldwide

Hours

Full Time office based either North or South

Responsibilities

  • Highly focused on generating new business.
  • Answer and follow up any sales leads that the business receives or generates.
  • Develop strong relationships with potential future customers.
  • Ensure that any information on sales leads is documented on the internal computer systems.
  • Be a point of contact for all customers within assigned territory, ensuring a strong commercial relationship is built with the business.
  • Continue to deliver a high level of customer service.
  • Monitor both monthly and quarterly performance
  • Take ownership of the commercial plan for all customers.
  • Attend training and meetings as and when required.

 

Experience Required

  • Experience with export sales in at least 2 of the following areas,
  • Soft drinks, household goods, groceries, toiletries, pet care, alcohol
  • At least 3 years’ experience within an FMCG exporting role.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written together with strong numerical skills with the ability to understand and interpret data
  • Knowledge of legislative, operational, logistical, administrative issues regarding exports
  • Proven track record growing revenue and profitability YOY
  • Experience developing sales strategies
  • Willingness to make trips overseas – as and when required
  • Able to attend and contribute to company trade shows as and when required
  • Experience of bespoke ERP system beneficial but not essential
  • Familiarity of Microsoft Office suite of products, including Excel

 

The Package

  • Salary up to £45k depending on experience
  • Bonus / commission structure (uncapped) resulting in OTE of £65k +
  • 28 days holiday including bank holidays
  • Company pension contribution

Wholesale

 

Role Overview

This is a hands-on role for an experienced Sales Executive that has a track record in developing new business with wholesalers, distributors, discounters and supermarkets. You will have full autonomy and control of sales in your area, defining strategic market penetration nationwide.

Hours

Full Time office based either North or South

Responsibilities

  • Highly focused on generating new business.
  • Answer and follow up any sales leads that the business receives or generates.
  • Develop strong relationships with potential future customers.
  • Develop and conduct seasonal product launches
  • Ensure that any information on sales leads is documented on the internal computer systems.
  • Be a point of contact for all customers within assigned territory, ensuring a strong commercial relationship is built with the business.
  • Continue to deliver a high level of customer service.
  • Full responsibility for sales and margin
  • Monitor both monthly and quarterly performance
  • Take ownership of the commercial plan for all customers.
  • Attend training and meetings as and when required.

 

Experience Required

  • Experience with wholesale sales in at least 2 of the following areas,
  • Soft drinks, household goods, groceries, toiletries, pet care, alcohol
  • At least 3 years’ experience within an FMCG bulk sales role.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written together with strong numerical skills with the ability to understand and interpret data
  • Good planning and organisational skills, good at problem solving
  • Proven track record growing revenue and profitability YOY
  • Experience developing sales strategies
  • Able to attend and contribute to company trade shows as and when required
  • Experience of bespoke ERP system beneficial but not essential
  • Familiarity of Microsoft Office suite of products, including Excel

 

The Package
